Manila DOGS  Rules and Fines
Date of Issue - November, 2006

Introduction
This handbook is to assist members and players of the Manila DOGS with our rules and etiquette to avoid misunderstandings and to promote friendship within our club and at the same time adhering to the traditions, values and established rules of the USGA and R&A.

On Sundays at Intramuros players are asked to register and pay their fees to the committee member on duty between 11.00am and 11.30am.The current fee is Php1,600 for members, for non-members the fee is P2,000.

  • Non-members can join up as full members for Php2,000 per annum.
  • Non-members cannot win prizes.
  • Membership is annual, each November.
  • The first tee off time will be 11.30am.
  • Tee off times/order and the makeup of the flights is at the discretion of the committee.
  • Regular players will be aware that the committee does it outmost to facilitate a player’s requests as to whom they play with. One of the great things about the DOGS is the chance to play with lots of different characters and boy, do the DOGS have some characters!

A flight captain will be nominated and it will be his/her responsibility to make sure the flight is on the tee on time and to collect the course fines (see "Collection of Game fines") The final flight is responsible for collecting the prize flags.

Please note the last person to arrive each week will receive the dreaded "Wally Ross" Award.

Also, be warned, the Ladies and Gents "Texas Tee" awards will be awarded to anyone who performs or plays outrageously (like not hitting past the ladies tee, 3 successive balls in the water, etc) or makes bold statements such as "I think I'll play well today" or just does something stupid.

The after game festivities at the Dog Pound (L.A. Cafe) will start no later than 6.00pm with the announcement that food is ready. The prize giving starts at 6.30pm.
